To play a game you need to know it’s rule before playing so that you can use it in your favour.

Admission process is similar to a game and if no one guides you regarding process then you could not take advantage and get best out it. I here hope that I will cover each expect and take you advantage on others not knowing the game. So let’s begin understanding the game.

What is B.A.M.S. ?

B.A.M.S. stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, it’s a professional Course that covers the study of the integrated system of modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda. Which is offered in India, Nepal, Bangladesh  and other South Asian countries. After the completion of BAMS degree ( 4.5 years and 1 year internship ), the student will be awarded with the degree of ‘Ayurvedacharya‘.

Ayurvedacharya degree holders can prefix the title Vaidyar/ Vaidya/ Doctor before their name (abbreviated as Vr. /Vd. /Dr. ).

What is Ayurveda ?

In ‘Ayurveda’ Ayu stands for ‘Life‘ and Veda stands for ‘Branch of science/ Knowledge of ‘ So together it means Branch of science dealing with knowledge about life here life means ways to make healthy life.

It’s the oldest system of medicine and the roots from its traces back from Vedic times, even it is considered as Upveda of Athrva Veda. It aims not only to cure Diseases but also provide ways to by which Diseases don’t occur. It makes cure using natural herbs and It not only provides cure but also prevent the recurrence of diseases.

How Centuries Old Wisdom still works with changing time ?

“The Sun that shines today is the sun that shines when thy father was born, and will still be shining when the last grandchild shall pass into the darkness”

Similarly Ayurveda was curing Patients at the time of Thy Father was born and will still be Curing patients when last last grandchild shall pass into the darkness.

Like a Software when it finds a bug or better version then it’s updated or changed, but think about it Ayurveda being 3000 BC years older and still present. What does it show?? That it’s the best and doesn’t need any changes!

“The thoughts of youth, are bright lights that shine forth like the meteors that often make brilliant the sky, but the wisdom of age is like the fixed stars that shine so unchanged that the sailor may depend upon them to steer his course.”

Similarly Ayurveda is Acient wisdom that surpassed the time and is available today.
