HUMAN DENTITION :-
The arrangement or condition of the teeth in a particular species or individual is called Dentition.
Human beings have two sets of teeth:-
• A Deciduous set
• A Permanent set
TYPES :-
The teeth are divided into four groups
according to their form:
- Incisor group
- Canine group
- Premolar group
- Molar group
FUNCTION :-
- INCISORS= wide, flat, sharp cutting edge and snipping food.
- CANINE= Shaped like daggers and used for cutting Griping, ripping food.
- MOLAR AND PREMOLARS= Flat surface used for grinding. Molar teeth large but pre-molar is smaller.

IMPORTANCE OF DENTAL CARE
FOR CHILD :-
- Children’s teeth and gum can have a direct impact on their overall health.
- Dental problem can affect the self-esteem of children, making them reluctant to smile or engage in conversation.
- It leads to low school grades and overall performance.
- Poor dental care can result in gum disease, decay, tooth loss, poor nutrition and sleep problems.
CARING FOR A CHILD TEETH :-
- Feed balanced diet to your kids; including high vegetables.
- Avoid sugary food and drink ,it leads to tooth decay.
- Give plenty of fluoride water to drink.
CARING FOR A CHILD TEETH :-
- Use soft toothbrush specifically designed for kids.
- Take care that child don’t swallow the tooth paste.
- Use fluoride toothpaste.
- Brush & floss at least twice a day.

TOOTH DECAY :-
- Refers to the loss of minerals from tooth structure caused by bacteria.
- The tooth surface are normally covered with dental plaque.
- The bacteria in the dental plaque will metabolize the sugars in your food and produce acids which will demineralise the tooth surface.
- 60-90% of kids are suffering from this.
