Sarvangasana or Shoulder stand pose : Steps, Benefits

सर्व शरीर के प्रभावित होने से इस आसन को सर्वाङ्गासन (Sarvangasana) कहा जाता है।

स्थिति:-

उत्तान तानासन।

विधि:-

  1. पीठ के बल देना चाहिए।
  2. दोनों पैरों की एड़ी पंजे को मिलाये।
  3. धीर-धीर दोनों पैरों को जमीन से ऊपर उठाना चाहिए, हाथ कन्धे के समानान्तर सीध फेलाये।
  4. धीर-धीरे पैरों को 30 डिग्री तक उठाकर, कछ सैकण्ड इस स्थिति में विश्राम करें।
  5. इसके पश्चात् पैरों की 60 से 90 डिग्री तक उठाये।
  6. पैर समकोण तक उठाने के पश्चात् कटिप्रदेश को दोनों हाथों की सहायता से ऊपर की ओर उठाना चाहिऐ दोनों हाथों की कुहनियों से मोड़कर पीठ का सहारा देना चाहिए।
  7. पीठ को इतनी ऊपर उठाना चाहिए कि ठुड्डी कण्ठ कृप (Sternal notch) में लग जाये।
  8. इस स्थिति को यथा शक्ति धारण करें।
  9. धीरे-धीरे कटि को भूमि पर टिकाकर 90 डिग्री से 60 डिग्री; 60 डिग्री से 30 डिग्री और 30 डिग्री के पश्चात्, जमीन पर रखना चाहिए।

श्वास प्रश्वास विधि :-

  1. पैर को ऊपर उठाते समय-पूरक
  2. उठाने के बाद-कुम्भक
  3. धीरे-धीरे पैर को-नीचे लाते समय रेचक

लाभ :-

  1. मस्तिष्कघात रक्त प्रवाह संतुलित होना। खंडों में दृढ़ता आती है।
  2. थायराइड ग्रंथि सक्रिय एवं स्वस्थ होता है।
  3. कटि प्रदेश की मांसपेशियों में बल उत्पन्न होता है।
